Him.

by Megan Charlie Broadurst
(Melksham.)

My love for you is a giant gamble,
And my lonely hearts playing as the dice,
I just hope my heart doesn’t get trampled,
I shall think again, and then I’ll think twice.

When thinking of how happy we could be,
Most of these times I get very afraid,
I generally fear, that you’ll reject me,
Once the dice has been rolled and the game played.

If all of the times that you cross my mind,
A few drops of crystal clear rain would fall,
We’d swim forever passing all mankind,
In the one greatest ocean of them all.

I gazed into those beautiful big eyes,
Such a beautiful crystal sky blue,
I care about your worries and cries,
And that’s when I knew, I’d fallen for you.

Those whistling white waves had stopped crashing,
And the sand, rough and tender at our feet,
I stopped caring and the time stopped passing,
My search for love was finally complete.

With those shimmering stars shining brightly,
No clouds, just perfect blue sky up above,
There’s only one word that could describe it,
I knew then that word, that word is called love.

I think of it when I look at the stars,
The memory’s mine, but the moments ours.
